Why Il Trillo?

“Il Trillo” is a young and lively school of music where you can study with professional teachers and concert performers. The students have the opportunity to study music and perform with other students from all over the world: our courses are open to all kind of levels, ages and music. There are also extra activities like intensive workshops, jam sessions, concerts in historical places, performances in local clubs and festivals.
The school is located right in the centre of the city and all the historical sightseeing, typical restaurants, young clubs and bars are in a walking distance towards the Ponte Vecchio and Il Duomo. Florence offers concerts from classical to contemporary music, from baroque to melodrama, from gospel to jazz.

“Il Trillo" cooperates with international and national schools, academies and institutes like the New York “Bel Canto Institute” and The Istanbul Pera Institute to create a world music exchange. From this activity in 2002 was born the “Florence International Music festival: young talented musicians of the world”. The program of the festival is an opportunity for young orchestras, bands and choirs to perform with soloists internationally renown in historical beautiful venues. During the past editions of the festival performed soloists like Francesco Manara ( First violin at La Scala of Milan), Mirco rabitti, Andrea D’Amico ( second trombone at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino).
In 2008 the festival is at the 6th edition with concerts not only in Florence but also in other important cities like Pisa, Rome, Venice .
