FLORENCE INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

Each year, together with Il Trillo School of Music, our agency (FIMS) organizes the popular  "Florence Internationorchestra_trillo5.jpgal Music Festival", a spectacular musical event that is designed to showcase young talented musicians from all over the world. The festival is a perfect time to organize your group and create music tours that may include a series of concerts or even just one individual performance.  The Florence International Music Festival is a wonderful opportunity to experience Italy and some of its most famous cities including Florence, Pisa, Rome and Venice while making music with international artists.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS


·           All classes and individual lessons will be held at Il Trillo, Florence, Italy.
·           All courses are open to  students of any race, color, and national ethnic origin. 
·           All rights, privileges, programs and activities are made available to all students.
·           Il Trillo does not discriminate on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, religion, age, political beliefs, race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies or admissions policies (festival).
·           Il Trillo reserves the right to require the removal (permanent or temporary) of a student at such time (whether immediate or subsequent) as the program directors may stipulate if, in his/her opinion, the interests of the school demand it. No refund will be issued.
·           An inscription fee of 35 Euros (non-refundable) is required on registration, upon arrival in Italy .
·           The school reserves the right to alter the fees from time to time.  Such alterations will be notified to prospective students in writing in advance, and will not affect students already registered for that particular year.
·           All fees are payable in full in advance by no later than the first day of term/lessons.  In the event of the fees remaining unpaid, the school reserves the right to remove the student from the program entirely.
·           No refund of tuition and fees for the whole or any part of the program can be allowed by absence through illness, infection or any other cause.
·           50% of tuition for lessons/courses (College Program included) is required once application form is completed and student is officially registered.
·           50% of  tuition for Italian language classes is required once application form is completed and student is officially registered.
 

CANCELLATION POLICY

-Cancellation and Reimbursement: For cancellations made up to thirty days before the beginning of the course, Il Trillo will reimburse 20% of the amount paid (includes all elements of the program).
-For cancellations made less than thirty days before the beginning of the course there are no reimbursements made of any kind.
-Tuition liability for all programs is based on the date on which Il Trillo receives your formal written cancellation request.  Liability will be as follows:

-Up to 30 days prior to program start date*, student is liable for 30% of tuition.
-From 30 days to 1 week prior to program start date*, student is liable for 50% of tuition.
-Within first week prior to program start date*, student is liable for full 100% tuition.

-Failure to attend does not constitute an official cancellation and no refund will be issued.
-Program start date refers to the date on which students are required to arrive for orientation.
-Refunds will not be granted until official enrollment letter + letter of cancellation has been issued to Il Trillo.

OTHER INFORMATION
Enrollment Letter and “Permesso di Soggiorno
A letter of enrollment will be sent to you upon receiving your deposit. With this letter, you can apply and obtain your Student Visa from the nearest Italian Consulate. Copies of all documents shown at the Consulate must also be brought with you to Italy . Once you arrive in Florence , you will then use those documents to obtain a “Permesso di Soggiorno” (Permit of Stay) from the Police Station.
**Please Note: Florence ’s police station will not allow students to extend their stay without first returning home. So, if you decide you would like to stay longer, you will need to first return home and restart a Visa application.  For stays 30 days or less, a “Permesso di Soggiorno” is not required. 


Student Medical Insurance
All Il Trillo students will automatically receive HTH Worldwide Student Health Insurance, which is the most comprehensive insurance available for study abroad. Students will have access to excellent health care and also 24 hour assistance for questions and emergencies while they are in Italy . Code of Conduct/Behavior
I understand that as an Il Trillo student, I am representing my home institution.  I understand that all policies printed in my home institution’s Student Code of Conduct apply to me while I am at Il Trillo and I agree to follow them accordingly, in addition to those rules printed in the Student Code of Conduct of my program at Il Trillo. I understand that Il Trillo will release any and all disruptive and/or offensive behaviours I commit to my home institution and I also understand that Il Trillo must and will take all necessary steps to avoid and prevent any such offensive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous incidents from occurring. I understand that Il Trillo reserves the right to dismiss any such student who is observed committing such behaviour which puts the safety and well being of others at risk. The final decision about a student’s dismissal will be made by the Director and/or Associate Director of Il Trillo. Examples of misconduct include any action that violates school regulations or Italian law, any action that puts at risk the well being of a student, any action that can put at risk the welfare of the program. It also includes such actions as excessive unexcused absences from class and/or program activities, the use of physical violence and/or threats, damage and/or destruction of school/residence/student property, alcohol and/or substance abuse, any reckless or dangerous behaviours. I understand that no refund of tuition, fees, or rent will be given to any student who is dismissed from the program.
