| Music Course Program: Analysis of Compositional Forms |

Description Students will study harmony and composition including; counterpoint, rhythm/meter and musical style. Different harmonic, contrapuntal and structural analysis will be discussed during the class focusing on form and analysis of 18th and 19th century repertoire. The aim of the course is to give to students the ability to fully interpret a score while having the ability to identify styles of various composers and music. Final project Students will prepare a final paper on one of the subjects/concepts learned in class. The final project must be discussed and approved by the instructor. Texts: N.
