 "Il Trillo" is a Florence centre of the Arts,
with music as our main focus, located in a prestigious 16th century building in the historic centre of Florence.Our venues are located within a few steps from Piazza Santa Croce, near the Bargello and behind the Cathedral and consist of twelve spacious rooms where instrumental and vocal courses of any musical style are taught from the beginner levels to professionals. Our school is open all year around. The school is divided into three departments: classical music, Jazz music and Rock/Pop (Study Music in Florence). The principal objective of every department is to offer an accurate and individual professional formation to its students with a future perspective of forming instrumental and vocal ensembles and groups. Annually, we present courses of high musical standards and annual master classes, lead by internationally recognized musicians who are experienced in diverse spectrums of the performance world. In previous years we have hosted pianists such as Lasa Berman, Aquiles delle Vigne, Edoardo Catemario, Michele Marasco, Giovanni Deangeli and others. Furthermore Il Trillo is proud to present the "Florence International Music Campus", an event especially designed for musicians from all over the world who would like to perfect the skill of their instrument and to improve their knowledge of technical and stylistic aspects by means of collective workshops. All courses of the Campus will prepare the student on an individual level, due to the analysis of different aesthetic elements (author, period, style) and the fundamental problems of performance. The teachers, all of whom are musicians and lecturers of international fame, allow a formation on a high professional level. With the help of many highly experienced artists, some mentioned earlier, we programme concerts featuring young and upcoming musicians selected only after reaching high levels of musical proficiency One of those events is the "Florence International Music Festival" (now in its third year), a festival designed especially for young talented musicians from all over the world. Objective of the event is to promote young musicians who will have the unique opportunity to perform in some of the most beautiful and historically relevant venues of Florence. Worth mentioning are our seminars for electronic and computer music, workshops for modern music taught by our musicians and our efforts to foster the musical awareness of our youth. Last but not least Il Trillo functions as concert agency with a vast spectrum of musicians of different formations for congresses, meetings, seminars and events of various kinds.
