"Il Trillo" Center for the Arts is a musical institution located in a prestigious 16th century building in the historic centre of Florence. Our venues are located within a few steps from Piazza Santa Croce, near the Bargello and behind the Cathedral consisting of twelve spacious rooms. All of our instrumental and vocal courses from beginners to professionals are taught here.
Our school is open all year around. The school is divided into three departments of musical study: Classical, Jazz and Rock/Pop (Study Music in Florence). The principal objective of every department to offer individual training and education to its students with a future perspective of forming instrumental and vocal ensembles. Every year, we offer proficient music courses and master classes lead by internationally recognized musicians who are experienced in diverse fields of the performance world. In previous years, we have hosted pianists such as Lazar Berman, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Edoardo Catemario, Michele Marasco, Giovanni Deangeli and many others. Furthermore, Il Trillo is proud to present the "Florence International Music Campus", an event especially designed for musicians from all over the world looking to refine their instrument and broaden their knowledge. We aspire to expand technique and style by means of collective workshops. All courses on campus will prepare each student individually concerning musicianship, analysis, form, various musical styles and the common problems encountered in these areas. Our faculty, who are all musicians and lecturers of international fame all practice high-level teaching methods. With the help of many well-experienced artists, (some mentioned above) we organize concerts featuring our most promising young musicians. One of those events is the "Florence International Music Festival" (now in its seventh year), a festival designed especially for young talented musicians from all over the world. The objective of the event is to promote young musicians who will have the unique opportunity to perform in some of the most beautiful and historically pertinent venues of Florence. Other important features worth mentioning would be our seminars for electronic and computer music and our workshops for modern music. Lastly, Il Trillo functions as a concert agency with an assortment of musicians suitable for congresses, meetings, seminars and various events.
