PIANO, MATTEO DENTELLATO
Diploma in piano. Dentellato continued studying with important international musicians. He attended the following courses: “International Courses for Musical Interpretation”(Morlacchi Conservatoire of Perugia, maestro: Guido Agosti), “Composition and Analysis of Contemporary Musical Theatre” (School of Music of Fiesole, maestro: Sylvano Bussotti), “Contemporary Composition”(Music Academy of Pescara, maestro: Franco Donatoni). Later on he frequented the seminars for electronic music at the IRCAM in Paris. Dentellato performs in concerts both as soloist and in groups of various kinds from classical music to contemporary, from pop to rock and Jazz. He has furthermore participated in numerous musical events and happenings. Dentellato was one of the young emerging students selected for the registration of a RAI concert. Besides his concert activity he specialised in musical didactics and attended numerous updating courses with Italian and French instructors. Additionally he combines his intense teaching activity with composing musical theatre for children.
PIANO, MARIA CLARA MEDINA
Diploma in piano at the Conservatoire of Florence e in chamber music at the “International Piano Academy Incontri con il Maestro” Imola . She then continued studying with V. Berman. Medina graduated from the University of Florence with a first-class degree in philosophy under Prof. S. Givone. She has participated in and won many international competitions. Medina has attended the courses of the Sommerakadamie at Salzburg with S. Perticaroli and the master classes of Piernarsciso Masi and Aquiles Delle Vigne. Medina has performed in many towns both as soloist and as chamber musician (Lugano, Trani, Paris, Florence, Salzburg, Rome etc.). Besides her concert career, Medina is active as a piano teacher and curator of music workshops for different schools.
She is assistant director of the School of Music “Il Trillo” and organizes music courses, courses of higher perfection and the “Florence International Music Festival”. At the same time she organizes concerts, master classes and didactic music, theatre and dance seminars for all ages. She is furthermore active in a number of State schools in collaboration with the Commune of Florence.
PIANO, CLOE MARINO
PIANO, EMANUELE PROIETTI
In 2001 he got his degree in Piano at the Conservatorio “L. Cherubini” in Florence. In the following years he attended courses of Chamber Music with Filippo Burchietti and with Pier Narciso Masi and Modern Harmony with Riccardo Galardini. He participated to the workshops “Jazz Composition and Arrangement” with Bruno Tommaso and “Jazz Composition and Improvisation” with Mauro Grossi. In 2005 he got the degree in Jazz Music, after following the three years course at the Istituto “P. Mascagni” in Livorno. From 2004 to 2006 he attended the course of History of Afro-American Music with Stefano Zenni and from 2005 to 2007 he studied Jazz Piano with Alessandro Galati. In January 2007 he took part to the orchestral training with the SIdMA Jazz Orchestra, during the “Chieti in Jazz” Festival.
He participated in numerous concert seasons as a soloist, with chamber music groups and with orchestra and was finalist in national piano competitions.
From 2002 he plays with a group of musicians who perform music of the singer-songwriter Antonio Castiello. The group performed in theatre and places in Tuscany and recorded a CD “Rosso piccolo”.
Since 2003 he performs with different groups in clubs and for public and private events.
VIOLIN, SIMONE BUTINI
Simone Butini has studied with Moreno Volpini and Edoardo Perpich and received his diploma from the “Mascagni” Conservatoire in Livorno, Italy under the guidance of maestro Domenico Pierini (first violinist of the “Maggio Musicale Fiorentino” in Florence). He furthermore attended the courses of higher perfection organized at the Umbria Music Academy and later on the MIMESIS project, a training course at the theatre of the “Maggio Musical Fiorentino”. He regularly performs both as soloist as well as in chamber ensembles and orchestras such as the Symphonic Orchestra of Grosseto, the Maggio Musical Fiorentino, the Italian Chamber Orchestra and the Italian Ensemble. He has performed under directors such as Lanzetta, Zanetti, Salemkur, Nir Kabaretti, Bellugi and Zubin Mehta. He has been member of the “Artemide” quartet since 2003. Butini currently teaches violin at the school of music “Il Trillo” in Florence, Italy.
CELLO, LARA D’ANGELO
GUITAR, ANTONIO SCARAMUZZINO
He teaches classic guitar, liuto and mandolin, attending constantly courses, conferences and concert. He studied with Leo Brouwer e David Russell. He research guitar and mandolin, promoting ancient music (“Cantigas de Santa Maria”, “Libre Vermell”, “Carmina Burana”, medieval Italian dance) renaissance music (ricercari, danze, villanelle, in particular ancient traditional and folk) with a look at contemporary and modern music. Together with his teaching he cooperates, promotes and takes part of several camera ensembles carrying on researches and studies. As a concert musician he participate to some festivals, and some renaissance and medieval conventions in Italy and Europe (France, Urbino, Pesaro, Rimini, Ancona,etc.). He plays with the medieval and renaissance ensemble “Laudare et delectare” with relevant success of public and critic.
BEL CANTO, Nicoletta Maggino
She began training as opera singer at 15. She attended master classes of renowned opera singers (Gino Bechi, Giuseppe Taddei, Ileana Cotrubas, Walter Blazer, Julia Hamari, Elly Ameling) and carried out musical studies at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole taking part in numerous concerts (in Italy and abroad), opera performances ((Teatro Comunale di Firenze, Teatro La Scala di Milano) and musical contests.
She teaches to young opera singers and introduces them in classical repertoire. She prepares soloists and choruses in order to participate in auditions for theater and record performances, concerts, contests, television programs, and opera performances (Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto, Festival Mozart di Rovereto, Festival Pucciniano di Torre del Lago, Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Teatro Romano di Fiesole, Orchestra Regionale Toscana). She collaborated with artists as Z. Mehta, G. Sinopoli, R. Abbado, S. Osawa, L. Dodin, D. Dorn, C. Saura. She taught opera, gave singing-technique advices and directed choruses at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (from 1986 to 2000). From 2000 she is teaching opera and singing-technique at “Scuola di Musica Il Trillo” in Florence. She became specialized (a specialist) in teaching BelCanto technique and has a great and long experience in teaching Italian diction to singers and students from all around the world.

VOICE, FILOMENA MENNA
She started studying music at 6 years old and she never stops loving it. First as a flute and mandolin player than as a singer. For ten years she is part of an Orchestra playing classical music with mandolin together with fifty string players (guitar, mandolin, mandola, etc.). In 1990 and for ten years she is the lead voice of “Ramo d’Oro” singing popular and folk Neapolitan music together with twelve musicians. The Orchestra takes part of national and international Festivals with a good success of public. For two years she works in London and when she comes back she moves to Florence where she meets her voice teacher Stefania Scarinzi. With her she discovers her deep passion for jazz and she decides to intensify her knowledge and studies. She attends several master classes with Jay Clayton, Sheila Jordan, Elizabeth Howard and Tiziana Ghiglioni. She is member of AICI (National voice teachers association) and takes part in a fifteen days master class for voice teachers with N. Semer, P. Zedda, G. Fasolino, E. Aubry, A. Gotti, E. Colonna and E. Capilupi.
She recorded a piece “a cappella” with thirteen female voices directed by Stefania Scarinzi for Audiodinamica.
She is the singer of a jazz trio and she performs in national theatres, conferences and clubs
MODERN SINGING, ILARIA CECCHERINI
She begins her studies of modern singing with Susy Bellucci and then furthers them with Mya Fracassini, Stefania Scarinzi at the CAM School of Music in Scandicci and privately, and Valerio del Piccolo and for a little while with Titta Nesti for improvisation. In 1996 she is at the Berklee School Clinics in Perugia. In 1998 she takes part to a seminar about singing with Tiziana Ghiglioni and in 2005 to a scat workshop with Sheila Jordan.
Mainly interested in black music, she sings blues and jazz with different bands, among which the acid jazz group Urban Tribe. She sings in the gospel choir Vocimania for ten years, in the praise/gospel sextet Aisha, of the Adventist Church in Florence and in the accappella quintet Redi 47, with songs arranged by Leonardo Pieri.
Her first pupils are the singers of the choir Vocimania, then she teaches at the Accademia di S. Felice, at the school All Music in Florence and at the Lab Studio in Prato.
In 2000 she eventually succeeds in the enterprise of setting up a trio to interpret some of the most known tracks of Joni Mitchell. From the collaboration of the guitarrist Andrea Bonardi and the percussionist and drummer Riccardo Innocenti.
In 2002 she becomes a member of the company Kasparhauser. She is Eddie in the musical “Rocky Horror Show” and becomes part of the choir. The musical is a great success of public in 2004 at the Sashall theatre in Florence. She is also one of the four backing vocals in “A Day in the Life”, an original production of the company, based on the music of the Beatles, on stage at the Puccini theatre in Florence in March 2005.
In 2004 the Rain Dogs see the light, cover band in which she sings Tom Waits, a project realized thanks to Lorenzo Vezzali at the double bass, Ian Da Preda at the vibraphone And Aldo Viti at the drums.
BASS, CARLO BONAMICO
He starts when he is very young studying classic guitar and piano and is when he’s 16 then his interest for electric bass grows. He studies with both pop-rock teachers (Nicola Contini,Walter Poli) than jazz musicians like Franco Nesti e Ares Tavolazzi.
He expands his knowledge studying jazz harmony and composition. In the meanwhile he performs with several rock-blues bands and with international artists like James Thompson and “sax” Gordon Beadle.
He plays with Alessandro Galati, Mirko Guerrini, Walter Paoli, Piero Borri, Fabrizio Morganti, Claudio Giovagnoli, Riccardo Onori. His first interest for Latin music start from the collaboration with Cuban violinist Ruben Chaviano. From 1998 to 2004 he is in the “Soul & Energy” band , a funk-rock group performing on national and international stages. He plays with “La camera migliore” band, produced by the label “Due Parole” (the label which produces Carmen Consoli), in live concerts and he plays in some tracks of the second CD of the band. He is the leader of the quintet “Musicheria”, he plays with “Medialatina” and he is part of the jazz trio “Dr Trio”. He helped the realisation of the first CD of the indi-rock band “Kinky Pimps and he is member of the quartet “Elettro Swing”.
