This course provides individual instruction of the student's major performance medium.  The duration of this private lesson is one hour and will help the student learn and refine their technique with one-on-one instruction.  

The courses are designed for three different levels:

• 1) Beginners: From the very first lesson, students are taught the basics of music reading and writing, and the execution of simple compositions.
• 2) Intermediate: Students will refine their technical and musical competence studying more complex pieces. Compositions will be analyzed from a harmonic, rhythmic and melodic point of view.
• 3) Advanced: Includes; repertoire analysis and interpretative studies of major works.  All compositions will be analyzed from a harmonic, rhythmic and melodic point of view.

Midterms and Final exams
The midterm and final exam for this course will be in the form of a concert.  Students will demonstrate their competence and musical capabilities as well as their overall progress made throughout the term.  All students will participate, either as soloists or in chamber ensembles.
