Music Course Program: Chamber Music PDF Stampa E-mail
Description

This course involves instruction in small ensemble performance for various instrumental groups (string quartets, woodwind quintets, piano duos, percussion ensembles and mixed chamber groups). *Pre-requisite: Intermediate level 

  • 1) Intermediate: Students will refine their technical and musical competence,  while playing more complex pieces.  Compositions will be analyzed from a harmonic, rhythmical and melodic point of view.
  • 2) Advanced: Repertoire analysis and interpretative studies of major works.  Compositions will be analyzed from a harmonic, rhythmic and melodic point of view. A more extensive study of chamber repertoire and music for orchestra will be the prime focus and well as concert preparation.

Midterms and Final exams
The midterm and final exam for this course will be in the form of a concert.  Students will demonstrate their competence and musical capabilities as well as their overall progress within the ensemble.
