TITTA NESTI
Born in Florence in 1963, Titta starts studying singing and jazz improvisation together with Tiziana Ghiglioni and later with Alessandro Di Puccio, Roberta Davis, Fabrizia Barresi, Mark Murphy and Michelle Hendricks.
She performs in several Italian clubs and takes part in numerous Italian and European festivals, cooperating with musicians such as Paolo Birro, Luca Flores, Fulvio Sisti, Roberto Ottaviano, Kenny Wheeler.
During these performances Titta sang with Leonardo Pieri, Nicola Stilo, Fabio Morgera, Walter Paoli, Mauro Grossi, Pepè Fiore, Ikue Mori, Nico Gori, Mirko Guerrini, Sandro Gibellini and finally Franco Santarnecchi, Andrea Melani and Franco Nesti who form together with Titta their present quartet.
Titta has been a member of the New Project Jazz Orchestra in Trento directed by Renzo Vigagni. She sang together with Renato Geremia, Andrea Braido, Bruno de Filippi, Bruno Marini and Lee Konitz.
Starting in 1990 Titta has been the solo voice of the choir Jubilee Shouters directed by Gianna Grazzini. In 2004 the Jubilee Shouters received the prestigious international cultural award "Giorgio La Pira"
Titta has been teaching singing and vocal jazz improvisation since 1991.
She also coordinates vocal groups and teaches in seminars on jazz singing in schools and institutions such as the Florence and Scandicci CAM, the Public School in Poggibonsi, C.D.M. in Rovereto and the school "Moser" in Pergine.
