FRANCO CECCANTI
Ceccanti starts studying classical guitar at the Conservatory "A.Boito" of Parma under maestro E.Tagliavini and later on attends the Conservatory "G.B.Martini" of Bologna, where he got his diploma studying under maestro G.Gazzelloni.
His interest in music as a whole leads him deeper into the study of jazz music, to which he has devoted himself completely since 1989.He attends the permanent courses of higher musical perfection at the Siena Jazz Association, and records two CDs produced by the same association, containing pieces played by the best groups of the course for ensamble music.
Ceccanti studies under Frank Gambale and Mike Stern, he furthermore receives his diploma in jazz at the "P.Mascagni" Institute of Livorno under maestro Mauro Grossi.
He has collaborated with well-known musicians such as Steve Trovato, Karl Potter, Ettore Fioravanti, Claudio Fasoli, Mauro Grossi, Ares Tavolazzi, Stefano "Cocco" Cantini, Piero Borri, Franco Santarnecchi, Ettore Bonafè.
He has taken part in numerous national and international festivals, among which are the "JAZZ IN IT" at Vignola (Modena), Volterra Jazz, Magra Jazz, Atessa (Chieti) in Jazz, Riva del Garda, "2° festival de la guitarra" in Salou (Spain) and others.
