Aquiles delle Vigne gives his first concert in Buenos Aires at the age of eight and has since been touring all over the world. He has played under the art direction of conductors such as Y. Menuhin, H. Morelenbaum, A. Vandernoot, E. Donneux, F.E. Scogna. He has participated in festivals in Paris, Chartres, Gstaad, Brussels, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Rio de Janeiro, Madrid, Miami and Hamburg. He has recorded on behalf of the most important record companies amongst whom Emi, Basf, Harmonia Mundi and Ems are worth mentioning. He has also recorded for TV stations from all over the world. He regularly gives master classes at the Julliard School of New York, the Hochschule of Munich, Hamburg, Mannheim, at the Manhattan School of New York, at the conservatoire of Leningrad and the universities of Tokio and Osaka. He is member of juries in such contests as the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati (Usa), the Casagrande contest in Terni, the Chopin contest in Warsaw and the Pretoria contest in South Africa. Since 1994 he has been teaching at the Mozarteum in Salisbury, at the Ecòle Normale de Musique "Alfred Cortot" in Paris, at the conservatoire of Rotterdam, at the Academy of Geneva, at the Academy "Musici Artis" in Brussels and at the Dublin Academy.
PARTICIPATION
The course is open to pianists of any nationality and age. In the framework of this course the student will select and execute pieces of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. At the end of the course there will be a forum on Beethoven's sonatas where students will perform and execute pieces.
